My Next Big Project

27 12 2006

Ok. It’s decided. Of all the pictures I have been looking through, I came across this picture which IMMEDIATELY smacked me in the face, screaming “I AM THE PICTURE OF YOUR WHOLE FUCKING LIFE WHICH YOU SHOULD STENCIL!”

And I looked at it, my heart melted to a soggy mess, and I sat here in Starbucks staring at it for about 10 minutes, going through every single detail, every single inch, every single line. Then I zoomed back out and immersed myself in the moment of the picture, which had been so well captured, and the whole picture just radiated the emotion and energy of that moment.

I’m looking at A1 size (again) but this time, I’m thinking of 6 tones, up to 8. This is going to be one heck of a project.

Here’s the link to the picture on Deviant Art.

Embracing Solitude

27 12 2006

Currently parked in Starbucks on the last leave day of the year and it’s amazing I’m having 100% signal from the Wireless@SG here. It’s not extremely fast though, I believe alot of people are currently logged on to it. Anyway, it’s not raining, and I’m learning to embrace my best friend Solitude again. A great friend to have when you need to sort thoughts out and get some reading or work done.

A wet final leave day

27 12 2006

With my last day of leave, I had set out to at least hit the golf course for the first time this afternoon. Thanks to the rain, the plan got reduced to another day at the driving range. But it was really awesome, where I got my shots more or less fixed, with blisters and callouses forming on my hands of course. Still it was awesome. Or maybe because there was this guy checking me out while I was blasting away with my driver…

Anyway, before hitting the range, I installed my ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE 2 on my laptop.

Inside of the box

Ah sweetness. I’m like so damn happy now. Started playing with vector art stuff and slowly figuring out how it works. It can be as simple and as difficult as it seems. Looks like I’m going to have spend quite some time on the next few stencils I plan to do.

I’m thinking of spending some peace and quiet time at Starbucks today and playing with it, hmmm….. rain……. think think think…..

Wet Shopping Day

27 12 2006

Today had been a rather wet yet fun day. Was out with a friend and his sister and we did some shopping at PS today. Not much shopping really, but I bought myself a laptop mouse and an Ermenegildo Zegna deodorant. A little extravagant I must say, but I think I should treat myself a little.

While his sister was doing her hair, we were having a ball of a time at the arcade. I kinda miss those secondary school days when it was all the entertainment in the world. We tried the new Time Crisis 4 which was rather fun and quite adrenaline packed (which also left us pretty drained and tired after). And my hands at Daytona still work, which was something I’m insignificantly proud of LOL.

I got the deodorant at CK Tangs, where we had our standing dinner as well. We bought shitloads of food. I spent 12 bucks on ToriQ. I swear I was walking away with a smile after buying them LOL. Scalded my tongue on HOT soya bean though…. I’d like to say here that, when someone asks for a hot drink, high chances are, they are really asking for warm drinks. ANYWAY, it was quite an interesting dinner, and I never felt so satisfied in quite a long while.

Met another friend at Holland after, in which we talked a little about life and business and aspirations. I see the work and effort he has put in to do a business plan and I feel the heartache for him that it’s not materialising. Nothing much to say about this nor is it worth blogging about. But there’s alot of thinking to be done on my part. All I can say is, time to reestablish my objectives again, especially since the new year is around the corner.
