Lazy Sunday

10 12 2006

I spent the whole day on the next stencil and organised the rest and got them all ready for cutting. And since I was feeling productive, I decided to take a break and took a slow walk to Singapore Pools for tomorrow’s toto. LOL. Pray….pray…

Anyway, I decided to write a bit more details about ZoukOut.

The bad points:

  1. Crowd’s crazy, that’s normal.
  2. Your legs get really tired.
  3. Everyone’s sweating, it does get stinky.

The good points:

  1. The music is so good you don’t need alcohol.
  2. There is food which smells damn good (but I didn’t eat)
  3. The energy of the place is awesome.
  4. The whole setup is beautiful

So many things happened last night, I think I really can’t be bothered to recollect them lol. But it’s all good, enjoyable and laughable. I really wanna go back again next year. If only it had rained last night, then the whole party would have been even wilder.

Ghost by Howie Day

10 12 2006

Was surfing for some more Howie Day songs, and stumbled on this one.

Uncanny. In more ways than one. Totally uncanny.

I picked this version instead of the MTV one cos I think he did this much better than the MTV one, especially with his oh-so-pro use of the digital effects.

Ghost by Howie Day

Lately I’ve been thinking,
lately I’ve been dreaming with you
I’m so resistant to this type of thinking
oh but now its shining through.
I was alone for the last time
before my night’s vacation with you
alive from the first
now I’m denied by the ghost of you

Oh you take yourself a photograph
and laugh at me please.

I know there’s little use in crying
it’s more wide awake and dying
than I’m used to.
I thought we’d walk these streets together
and now I’m hoping that I’ll never have to meet you
step aside from all this anger
and somewhere in between I can feel you
ask me should we try again I’m thinking
oh no, its not what I believe in
it’s not what I believe in.

oh won’t you take yourself a photograph
and laugh at me please
you make yourself a photograph
and laugh at me please.

no I, want a taste of love
no I, no I…just want a taste of love
oh no I…

damn me in these shoes
I turn and now you’re standing
bare in my doorway
I only wish that I had been prepared
I’m going to have to go along with your way

just take the plastic camera out
its in the pants you borrowed in the driveway
alive from the first now i’m denied
by the ghost of you.

make yourself a photograph
and laugh at me please
you make yourself a photograph
and laugh at me please.

no I, want a taste of love
no I, no I, I was alive from the first
now I’m denied by the ghost of you.

Still not in the right mood for posting about zouk out yet. Here’s a cutting I saw on the newspaper about 2 days back. Anyone interested?

Whaaaaaa Zouk Out

10 12 2006

Ok. I must admit. I am very glad I went for zouk out.

It’s like a carnival of sorts, but with 4 stages each playing different music. And when you see one huge stage with only one deejay on it, and a huge mass of people in front, and awesome light displays, it’s……..exhilirating.

I started off with the mambo section, which really took me out for the night. I think, mambo would never be the same again on wednesdays. The hits just kept coming from the deejay, you just didn’t wanna take a break. I had a really intense workout lol, which pretty much made up for the weeks exercise lol.

And when you did take a break, there were so many things to look and see

It’s 1:18 pm and I’m still quite tired (not stoned, didn’t drink at all except one cup of vodka redbull). Can’t think. All I know is that ZoukOut was well worth it. Free some more LOL. Maybe, when I’m more awake, I shall write some thoughts proper. sigh
