Today has been rather exceptional, aside from the meeting earlier today. I spent some time at work, starting on my Christmas project and went through my friend’s friendster looking for a picture that I could use. Found a really gorgeous pic of her, nice. It wasn’t exactly what I was looking for though, but I went through all the pics and I got a really gorgeous idea in my mind. Hope it’s going to be fine, getting excited just doing it. Really, Just Doing It, don’t think too much.
Left work a little earlier and headed down to Dhoby Ghaut with a friend. Checked out Spotlight and realised that they really suck if you are looking for stuff to do stencils. Definitely not for street or anything more creative. Went to Yamaha after and suddenly, I felt inspirational. Sat at a keyboard and started playing “Minuet” and “Canon” to reminisce, and it felt good. I had put in so much effort to learn “Canon” because back then, my ex had said thatshe would like to have this song at her wedding, and so I decided to learn it to play it for her. I’m glad that I still remembered it, and it felt sweet playing it again, though for no one now really.
Seeing those acoustic guitars hanging around gave me the urge to get myself an acoustic there and then, and a keyboard too lol. KNS, no space at home and those things are damn expensive… So I checked out a guitar amplifier instead, which was reasonable, about $150, and it’s really doing injustice to my friend’s electric guitar which has been at my place for the longest time. It’s a good Yamaha guitar as well… time to get my fingers back in action ….
Headed to the gym and ran 2.4 under 10 mins first up, which was a good sign for a free $400 bucks next month for IPPT. But that kind of fucked the rest of my gym session. I ended up pretty burned out and stoning and it didn’t help that they were showing TROY on the screen. I was literally watching the movie the whole time.
After gym, my friend mentioned something and this thought crossed my mind. It’s in my stories blog here. Met S for prata and talked a little about work and my excitement for the day; it was just hilarious watching him shake his head the whole time at my Christmas Project LOL. Met D after at KAP and he gave me an insight on stenciling, which gave me second thoughts on my earlier work today, so I might do it again. Then he let me listen to Mozart sonata 14 blah blah (I don’t know what LOL), which was interesting, because I found it appealing even though I never was a classical music kinda guy. But the night ended unexpectedly late, but it was a good, full day.
Btw, I think I’ll put up the designs I’ll be doing for my friends. Like I said, it probably won’t meet the Christmas deadline
